Event description

Description

Understanding human motivations and contexts of use are critical to digital transformation within
organisations and in the development of new products.

User Experience testing evaluates usability and functionality but can also reveal insights into the broader service experience. Testing is one of the best ways to validate design decisions, to align stakeholder understanding,
to reduce risk and increase value.

Testing can also reveal underlying human wants and needs, leading to increased "user" satisfaction, customer engagement and product relevance.

In this active and fun workshop, Design Strategist Neil Williams will introduce best practice for testing, while participants will have the chance to "speed test"; their products and ideas.

Do you have a new product you want to test? An early stage prototype and you want to get
feedback? A value proposition you want to sense-check? Do you want to learn more about
product testing? Or perhaps you are interested in seeing great new ideas early? If so, this event
is for you. In the session Neil will cover:
● Why taking a human-centred approach to product development matters
● Being open to and actively encouraging criticism
● Best practice and methods for effective product testing
● When to apply design research in the project cycle
