Introduction:
In December 2007, I moved to Hongkong with my husband and my eight-year old son. In this new environment, I was challenged and found myself not doing enough for him. Despite these disempowering feelings, I was committed to provide the best for my son. I kept attempting to find the best methods from friends and family. Those methods were hit and miss. As the time was passing, I was getting more anxious that I was running against the time. Finally, I took the plunge and hired a life coach to eliminate my parenting confusions. This helped me handle my own anxiety and suppressed emotional issues. With this rejuvenated energy within me, I was able to support my son with his teenage challenges as well as academics. I felt emboldened in my parenting skills resulting in deeper bond and friendly relationship within my family. In my parenting journey, I am continuously supporting my junior who is in university to perform to his best calibre without compromising fun and respect for each other.
Testimonials:
Ekta Tejwani, Founder of MeetMUMZ & a Mother
When I first heard Deepa in a Session about How to listen to a child, it was like she was questioning each of the points I ask myself everyday as a parent. Do zillion google searches and ask other parents. Focussing on how little minds and communication for them works, and how as adults we perceive things that are visible to us. Understanding the psychology of human nature and helping parents find solutions through conflict management and also through tips. Deepa is definitely a profound speaker who not just engages her audience, but also welcomes them with her warm smile and enigma!
Seema Surtani, Mother of two Daughters
I think the concept of Dialogue Hour is a beautiful concept where parents don't feel alone on a boat that we feel is sometimes sinking. It's an hour of sharing our thoughts, getting inspired by other parents and also learn new tools for new age parenting. Deepa Gupta is our anchor that keeps our boat afloat and sailing towards the rainbow. She gives us all hope and encouragement.
Renu, Mother of two children
