Program Objectives
The world is changing fast and everyone is judging multiple complexities while being asked to manage the unexpected: We all need to develop resiliency. Building in 3D and sharing our individual and collective story can be powerful when we build with empathy.
LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® is an internationally-renowned facilitated process used by organizations to engage participants to generate innovative ideas for organizational improvement. The methodology is based on extensive research and enables people to address complex issues in a fun and engaging way. We developed this advanced training to address the concept of resiliency. It is for use by facilitators who are certified in LEGO SERIOUS PLAY methods.
Building on Neuroscience and Neurobiology, this interactive training workshop will present new ways to use LEGO SERIOUS PLAY to build resiliency through the lens of emotional development. We have included activities from creative therapies to super charge this unique program, which is packaged and ready to work for you. These 30-minute activities can be used alone or combined to create unique workshop or classroom offerings where people think and feel with their hands. See, hear, and experience the real story so you can truly see what people mean.
Who Should Attend?
If you are a certified facilitator of the LEGO SERIOUS PLAY method, and also play the role of any of the following: trainer, educator, HR professional, project manager, coach, consultant, learning and development professional, university professor, teacher, branding professional, or strategist, you can get trained to apply this methodology in the work you do. Additionally, if you work as a researcher, I.T. professional, executive/life coach, or leader in your organization, your certification in this methodology can bring enormous benefits and is a strong addition to your tool kit of techniques. If you want to support your people in becoming more resilient in the face of rapid social change, this program is for you.
🎯 Agenda:
Day 1: Emotional Drivers at Play
The first day focuses on group work and development. We will show you how you can apply this method to introduce the concept of resiliency in groups, teams, projects, or classrooms. This is a deep dive into the hidden emotions that drive behavior. We begin with both individual and group work and unwind the process to a deeper level of understanding of self and others. Building with empathy and understanding, we will be taking risks to build resiliency in ourselves and others.
This classroom day will include:
- Hands-on building to give your heart, mind, and soul a hand!
- Whole brain thinking to access your imagination.
- Unpacking your subconscious mind—it never sleeps!
- Team and group work—using empathy and caring to develop a team.
- Reflection
- Q&A
Day 2: Subconscious Mind at Play
The second day moves participants through processes where they explore individual resiliency at a deeper level, exploring emotions while building personal supports within the safety of the playroom. We will be unpacking and rebuilding our subconscious mind while having lots of great fun. This will help everyone better understand how we process information, even while we sleep! We will debrief each activity to understand the best practice facilitation approach for each unique build.
This classroom day will include:
- Hands-on building to give you heart, mind, and soul, a hand!
- Building and constructing your individual safe house.
- Unpacking your hidden emotions and triggers to gain a deeper understanding of self.
- Individual deep dives into what drives behavior through the lens of emotions.
- Reflection
- Q&A
