Online Mindfulness & Meditation Immersion

May 1-2, 8-9, 29-30, and June 6, 2021

Mindfulness is the ability to maintain an open attitude towards all kinds of experiences in our lives. It is one of the powerful teachings from the Buddha. Without mindfulness, we tend to grasp experiences that we treasure, push away experiences that are unpleasant, hence our state of mind is often dictated by what comes our way. The fear of losing control causes many emotional problems such as depression and anxiety, which greatly affect our relationships and our quality of life.

When we can maintain an open-heart towards our live, our perspective of life is no longer filtered by our fear-based projections, so better decisions could be made. The practice of Mindfulness will be even more effective when paired with other important skills taught by the Buddha such having a strong, dedicated mind of concentration, living a moral life, and most importantly, having the wisdom to distinguish between what’s wholesome and whatnot.

This is a 7-day online course to help you build foundations of mindfulness and cultivate understanding of some important Buddhist teachings:

• Different meditation methods: sitting meditation and movement meditations

• The Four Noble Truths: Suffering, Causes of Suffering, End of Suffering, Path of Well-being

• The Noble Eightfold Paths: Right View, Right Thinking, Right Speech, Right Action, Right Livelihood, Right Diligence, Right Concentration, and Right Mindfulness
