Old Town Central (OTC) Guided Tour (Special offer for non-Hong Kong participants of 2018 The New York Times International Luxury Conference)

Beneath the stunning skyline of Central, you will discover heritage, food, arts and hidden treasures in the warren of streets and alleys. Along the way, you will bear witness to the dramatic transformations that have characterized Central’s short but colorful history and explore an ever-changing city which has never detached from its origins.

Tai Kwun, the former Central Police Station Compound, meaning ‘big station’ in Cantonese, was a nickname for the police compound which has over 170 years of history. There are a number of specific designated areas that tell stories of not only the building but those that occupied it. From the disgraced inmates to the police officers who safeguarded the city, the building is of historical importance and is a “must” on any tour of the city.

Formerly the Police Married Quarters, PMQ now houses works by promising young artists and designers in Hong Kong. Here, not only will you find a fascinating line-up of creative studios and designer products, but also exhibitions and workshops.

This tour will depart from the InterContinental Hong Kong Hotel Lobby on Sunday, November 11 at 13:45, returning to the hotel at 16:30.

Itinerary: Guided tour at Tai Kwun > enjoy Hong Kong street food & street art along OTC > Guided tour at PMQ
