On the 20th anniversary of their inaugural Panchabhoota performance, four Indian Classical Dancers and a Yoga exponent come together to celebrate the journey of Nartaki as Yogini. The dancer whose dance becomes her yoga, and whose yoga awakens her Shakti.


20 year after a tremendous creative outpouring which included Vama - The Feminine, and Tao of the Heart, to complete the trilogy of performances, the dancers gather now as yoginis. To heroically encounter their four-fold drives of kama-mara-maya-vidya (eros-thanatos-mythos-logos), and transmute them into their four-fold Shakti: Harmony, Strength, Perfection, Wisdom. (Bestowed by Mahalakshmi, Mahakali, Mahasaraswati, Maheshwari)


Each NrityaYogini finds a unique expression of her Shakti through the grace of a 20 year sadhana.

Sri Shakti Academy was founded in 2003 with the aim to educate the audience in the art of appreciation of Indian classical dance and music. In pursuit of achieving these goals, the academy has been imparting classes to many students, organizing lecture demonstrations and workshops at universities, whilst providing performing opportunities to aspiring dancers and presenting large scale original productions to the Hong Kong audience.
