Benjamin 將分享他對香港植物學、食物廢料與傳統染色技術之間關係的專業見解。參加者將在指導下使用藍草(菘藍,Strobilanthes cusia)及其他回收有機材料,染製出色彩鮮豔的手帕。親身體驗自然染色的創作可能性,並帶回一件獨一無二的個人手作作品!

Join Hong Kong multidisciplinary artist Hao Lap Yan Benjamin to explore the vibrant world of natural dyes. This hands-on workshop introduces the art of creating color from local native plants and food scraps, transforming waste into beautiful, sustainable art.

Benjamin will share his expertise on the relationship between Hong Kong’s botany, food waste, and traditional dyeing techniques. Participants will be guided in using Chinese indigo (Strobilanthes cusia) and other recycled organic materials to create vibrantly dyed handkerchiefs. Experience firsthand the creative possibilities of natural dyeing and leave with a unique, personally crafted piece.
