Did You Get Everything You Wanted From Your Youth?

For Riot in School, it never seemed enough. This is a band living in perpetual anxiety, never satisfied, and full of regrets—but also full of relentless drive.

In the summer of 2022, after the bittersweet release of their first album “Ceremony for Corruption”, Riot in School hit the road for their debut national tour. Thirteen shows in unfamiliar cities brought fleeting euphoria, but the joy dissolved as quickly as it came. They returned to routine, haunted by wasted time and craving something more: a bigger audience, a deeper connection, and a stronger voice in this cultural landscape.

Amidst post-lockdown turmoil, they expanded from a trio to a quartet and poured two and a half years into creating their second album. It was a grueling process of self-discovery, internal conflict, and artistic obsession. The band gambled everything— their youth, money, and sanity—to craft something sharper, heavier, and more aggressive.

Riot in School, as self-proclaimed leaders of China’s new wave of bands, are making the boldest move in their history: a Southeast Asian tour with an expanded five-piece lineup, guest bands from the region’s alternative scene, and their hardest-hitting setlist yet.

This is our moment. Will you be there with me?

For their Hong Kong stop, the band is joined by local alt-rock trio Bad Actors.

More About Riot in School’s Second Album: 《//褻瀆朋克搖滾》

《//褻瀆朋克搖滾》, translated to “//Punk Rock Blasphemy”, is Riot in School’s sophomore effort, blending the energy of post-hardcore with the melodicism of alternative rock, infused with hip-hop, trip-pop, and experimental electronics to create a sound uniquely their own.

Two and a half years in the making, the album emerged from intense conflicts and artistic anxiety; all of the albums’ 11-tracks were self-financed and painstakingly recorded, reflecting the band’s unwavering commitment to leaving no regrets.

Mixed by legendary producer Will Yip (known for his work with Title Fight, Turnstile, and more), the album is intricately crafted, divided into three dynamic sections filled with bold experimentation. The album cover and liner notes highlight left-behind children from Sichuan, for whom the band organised a benefit tour back in February of 2025.
