Mindful & Gentle Hatha (in-person & zoom class)

This class will begin with a guided breathing meditation exercise setting the on-going theme of mindfulness and being grounded. We will then proceed with a gentle warm up, standing balances and twists, as well as seated stretches. It is suitable for beginners and will include options for more experienced practitioners.

Shannen began her yoga journey in 2016. From then on, she explored various types of yoga which led her to understand how this positively affected not only her physical body but also her mind. She then moved her focus to meditation and felt the transformation it has on her life. With this in mind and the curiosity to explore further, she did her 200 hour teacher training. She continues to practise yoga and also spreads her positive vibes to her students and all those around her.

Shannen is a RYT 200 Yoga Instructor. She is also certified in wheel, restorative and aerial yoga. Her style is lighthearted, educational and progressive. Shannen moulds her style based on who her students are and what they need or are looking for.

Shannen is a co-owner of Yoga Corner, a studio in Central, and usually teaches Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin Yang, Wheel and Relaxing Stretch. Come by!
