About this event
Sometimes we just need to press pause…
“It's been a treat to be immersed in so much peace... while learning some solid foundations for a meditative practice.”
“Transformative... to feel a lightness and openness has given me space to breathe.”
Whether you’re brand new to meditation or have experience, this retreat day offers the chance to explore and deepen your practice with the guidance of experienced Buddhist meditation teachers, and in a setting that naturally supports reflection and stillness. Our venue – the Linklater Pavilion – is nestled in the peaceful surroundings of the Railway Land nature reserve in Lewes, just an hour by train from London.
Retreat means to step away from the noise of everyday life and create a space for something different. This one-day event is a chance to do exactly that – to take some time out from the demands of our busy lives and reconnect with a deeper sense of presence, perspective and peace within ourselves.
What we’ll be doing…
We will be practising calm-abiding meditation, a simple technique that helps cultivate true stillness and presence. There will be ample time given for practice sessions. Alongside this, there’ll be time for questions, and relaxation.
Who’s holding it
The event will be held by a team of our experienced meditation teachers, leading us through the practice, based in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition.
Come and enjoy the exploration and discovery that is meditation, because there’s no time like the present!
