Here's hoping the recent improvement in coronavirus cases holds out, so we can see your lovely faces back for our customary monthly open house!

In keeping with public health guidelines, we would like to ask you to please read the Health & Safety Measures section below before coming on the day, and if things deteriorate again in the days and weeks before the event, we may have to cancel on short notice as well. Thanks for understanding!

We've got 200+ games in our collection ranging from big-group party games to smaller, more intense three-hour strategy games. If you've got a game in mind that you'd like to try and are looking for other players to play with, leave a comment on this event page!

PLEASE READ: Health & Safety Measures

1. We are capping attendance at our Board Game Socials at 20 pax, and will only accept attendees who have purchased a ticket via Eventbrite.

2. We will take your body temperature upon arrival and request you to fill out an online health declaration form. We reserve the right to decline your attendance if your temperature is above 37.6°C or if you do not fill out the form.

3. Please wear a mask during the event and do not attend if you are showing signs of illness. We will provide hand sanitizer on site.

4. Each game group will have a maximum of 4 players. Our tables will be spaced as much as possible to ensure a safe physical distance. All snacks will be individually packaged, and we will only be serving tea with teabags.

5. We encourage you to take a short breather between each game. (Wearing masks can be stuffy!) There are plenty of great coffee shops around the area (and Tai Kwun for an open public space) if you'd like to pop out for a quick break.

What are Board Game Socials?

Press Start Hong Kong started off some 5 years ago as a side project basically as an excuse for two former high-school roommates to find people to play board games with.

Our first Board Game Socials were held in a cramped Hong Kong apartment, and they've helped turn Press Start into an actual business (what?!) but we still throw these events on a monthly basis - now at our third venue - because playing and teaching games is still super fun, and we get to meet awesome people like you!
