Limoncello is an Italian liqueur that is made from lemon zest. Just like many other preserved fruits and vegetables, Limoncello also has various family recipes that goes down for generations.
This refreshing drink is mostly made in Southern Italy like Sorrento, Capri, and along the Amalfi Coast where the famous Lemons Amalfi grow. Italians have been making liqueur with the skin of their large and beautiful lemon by the coast. As zests will be used in this drink, it is important and best to use organic lemon if possible!
Limoncello is typically served in small glasses as an apéritif or digestif (a drink served before or after a meal) to aid digestion.
In this class, Alessio will show us his learnings from his family and share his Limoncello recipe and how-tos with a twist of healthy sugar alternatives. (We will be using monk fruit sweeteners in this class)
*If you prefer to use cane sugar instead of monk fruit sweetener, please let us know in advance and we will prepare this for you!
