Janet Wu (Aftership) will share what a local growing tech startup learnt from adopting Agile and Scrum, how they made the theory work in practice and the lessons learned by the leaders in supporting the teams to achieving success in this way of working.
Topics include: how Aftership shifted away from hierarchy to self-organisation, adjusting to long term planning in an Agile environment, the role of ‘HR’ in supporting the teams, and how to assess the growth and development of an Agile organisation
The talk will be conducted in an interview style and Janet hopes her experience sharing can help others learn and deal with certain challenges in supporting the Agile organisation.

Janet's profile:
Janet began her career in New Zealand as an interpreter travelling with senior management on business development trips throughout China and Asia Pacific. She sought further development in market research before becoming a "right-hand" to C-level executives for listed corporations.
Her journey as human capital development and management specialist began with one of the world’s largest international talent acquisition firms and later transitioned to build an even stronger focus in the legal sector and investment banking arena.
She is currently putting all her super powers and breadth of skills to awesome use as Director of People (and Chief Entertainment Officer!) at AfterShip.
