KIN Presents: Stand Up Comedy Night

Just before we say goodbye to the summertime, KIN Food Halls is thrilled to be hosting the first-ever Comedy Night with some of the finest Hong Kong comedians! Hosted by Tim To, featuring Ashley James (frequent comedy headliner in Hong Kong), Tamby Chan (one of the original comics in the Hong Kong scene), Fran Ayala (Co-founder of BiS the first all-femme comedy troupe in Hong Kong), come join us for an evening filled with laughter. Be ready as we hear there may be a special guest appearance too and you don’t want to miss out….

Guests who present proof of event ticket and KIN Food Hall’s KIN App, will be eligible to redeem a free drink from KIN Food Halls (drinks/ beer on tap, house red/ white, standard spirits).

Masks must be worn all at all times and no F&B consumption would be allowed throughout the event.

Prior to the event, guests are strongly encouraged to get a taste of KIN’s F&B offerings over the ongoing Dinner for Two Combo promotion. Payment and ordering can be done via KIN App.

Tamby Chan:

After immigrating to Canada at the age of 7, Tamby developed his sense of humor as a social defense mechanism in lieu of speaking fluent English. He has been continuously refining his comedic voice through trial and error ever since.

Tamby represented Hong Kong in Laugh Factory’s Funniest Person in the World Contest, was the winner of the Bangkok division of the Magners International Comedy Competition 2018, placed second at the regional finals, has been selected as a finalist at numerous international comedy festivals, and has appeared on TV like four times.

Ashley James:

Ashley James is a stand-up comedian from London. Ashley’s style of humour is saying horrible things to make you laugh, and then making you laugh at his life. Ashley's sardonic wit and unique stage presence quickly saw him become a regular in Hong Kong. He has opened for many marquee acts, including the biggest stand-up comedy show in Hong Kong of 2021: Vivek's Mahbubani's Humour Along My Hairline at Ocean Park. Despite this, he is annoyed about how he is recognised more for his memes on Chaotic Hong Kong Expats.

Fran Ayala:

Fran Ayala is co-founder of Bitches in Stitches, Hong Kong’s first, all-femme stand up comedy troupe that’s sold out 21 consecutive shows.

She’s known for high-energy, in-your-face performances that give audience members an over-the-jeans feel of what it’s like to be a woman of colour in Hong Kong.
