Explore the nature, culture and heritage in Sai Kung!

About this Event

This is an easy sea kayak trip in protected waters which will cover about 10 km’s, paddling around the inner islands of the UNESCO Global Geopark from Sai Kung.

Our trip departs from Sai Wan Beach (Sai Kung). We head east towards Sharp Island, the edge of the volcanic crater that created this amazing  sea kayak destination.

Each island has its own character and beauty. Sharp Island because of it’s global geological significance. Here we stop to climb to a scenic lookout to get a vantage point of where we are paddling.

Yin Tim Tsai is unique because of its cultural and historical importance in Chinese and local history. Yim Tin Tsai has Hong Kong's first cathedral, Hakka village, ancient salt farms and even a 3,000-year-old rock carving (that looks older than 3,000 years old cos you can hardly see it). It's a real blast from Hong Kong's past and worth the visit.

Our actual route is always determined by the weather conditions on the day. We’ll visit mangrove area and sea caves along the way. Our return paddle back to Sai Kung is short and easy.

The trip is family and children-friendly.
