About this event
The way we live, work and play is very different today as the world becomes more interconnected. As the Internet enters the traditional domain of design and architecture, it is opening the door to a new wave of smart applications that can enhance city liveability.
At this special master talk for Italian Design Day, Prof. Carlo Ratti will address these issues through his recent projects and join local industry leaders in a thought-provoking panel discussion.
Prof. Carlo Ratti teaches at MIT, where he directs the Senseable City Laboratory and is a Founding Partner of the international design and innovation practice Carlo Ratti Associati. He is a leading voice in the debate on new technologies’ impact on urban life, with two of his projects named ‘Best Inventions of the Year’ by Time Magazine. He currently serves as Co-chair of the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on Cities and Urbanization. He has been appointed as Chief Curator of the Shenzhen Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism and Architecture.
