About this event
- Event lasts 2 hours
Dr. Joseph Chan, Founder of Fullness Social Venture, will share his thoughts about diaspora - one of the greatest social challenges in our world today - and offer some examples of social innovation and impact investing in Kenya. Dr. Chan will share with us the story of Sara, founder of @soafricans , a platform that documents stories from Asian and African perspectives.
Dr. Chan will be joined by Mr. Darren Lee, the 19 y/o founder of Sababu, in this session. Darren founded Sababu to empower African artists by transforming their original artwork into unique, custom-designed socks, and giving 30% of every sale directly back to the artist.

Fullness Social Venture (FSV) is a non-profit-making social innovation agency established in Hong Kong in 2023. Our mission is to build a sustainable and equitable future where social innovation flourishes and capital flows towards impact creation. To bridge funding gaps, we create a common language between the financial and social innovation sectors, and remove friction for social innovation projects and impact businesses in accessing market capital.
FSV established the Integral Social Venture Development Lab (ISV Lab) in 2024 as a social innovation incubation lab, and a homebase that nurtures the next generation of social innovators. ISV Lab also shares the latest global developments and learnings in social innovation and impact investing with the Hong Kong audience.
