Abstract:
AEC industry had the infamous tags associated with it. Lower productivity over the decades, Conservative to application of technology and lastly data is not preferred as it attracts a lot of compliance issues. AEC also boasts of some phenomenal achievements whether it is sub-marine data centers or the longest bridge over the ocean right here in Hong Kong. AEC is showing intent to change with the times, in fact they are doing lot more but stay low profile. I would like to share some of the progress made in applying emerging technologies, data driven solutions, application of cool machine learning stuff for use cases that make impact to humanity. Lastly, when every physical structure is becoming “smart”, we can’t avoid speaking about “Design for Safety”, not just physical but Cyber as well.
Key Takeaways:
• Modern Construction Industry Practices
• Application of Machine Learning in AEC industry
• Data driven Urban Planning
