We've invited Kevin Pereira (Managing Director of Blu Artificial Intelligence) and Marianne Hughes (Founder & CEO of Kno Global) to shed light on the topic. As always at our Thirsty Thursday events, come hungry for knowledge, but also make room for some pizza and drinks!

OUR SPEAKERS:

• Kevin Pereira is currently a Managing Director covering Financial Services for Blu Artificial Intelligence, a consulting firm that specializes in Artificial Intelligence. After growing up in Hong Kong, he started his career in Private Banking with Citi in New York working within both the Investments and Relationship Management areas. He then moved back to Hong Kong and joined Bank of New York Mellon’s Asset Management business, where he helped to start a new group that specialized in products tailored to High Net Worth Individuals. Post business school, Kevin worked at a technology startup in Myanmar that was building out internet infrastructure which included fiber optic, cell towers and data centers. In this role, he spent half his time with the Venture Capital firm in Hong Kong and the rest on the ground with the portfolio company in Myanmar. Kevin is also a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Hong Kong (HKU), where he teaches a full-credit MBA course titled, “Artificial Intelligence for Business Leaders”. He also lectures at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) where he teaches “Big Data in Finance”. Kevin graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Economics with concentrations in Finance, Management and Marketing from the Wharton School at theUniversity of Pennsylvania. He also has an MBA from INSEAD.

• Marianne is an award-winning entrepreneur with a determination to make supply chains more ethical. She was shortlisted for the “One Young World Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2019” with conveners including Emma Watson. Marianne is a thought leader on sustainable fashion and has worked with factories across China and Asia. A highlight of becoming an ‘accidental journalist’ was interviewing Suzy Menkes International Director of Vogue. She previously sold B2B software to multinationals to manage their corporate responsibility, with pipeline value of $10m. She has raised VC, angel, and government funding, and launched her first business at age 18.
