Introduction To Ashtanga Worksop by Shereese

In this 2 hour-workshop, Shereese will cover the techniques of the primary series of Ashtanga Yoga. She will explain the philosophy, the breathing techniques, asanas and many other things that you want to know but we do not have enough time to cover during our regular 1 hour class. Students will definitely enhance their personal practice after this workshop.

The Ashtanga Yoga Primary Series Workshop is designed to build efficiency of breath and movement, where improvement in postures and vinyasa to be the result.

In this workshop Shereese will:
- lead through the sequence with vinyasa count
- explain the tristana of Ashtanga - Ujjayi Pranayama breath, Bandhas & Drishti
- introduce few challenging poses (eg. Kurmasana, Bakasana, Marichyasana B&D), with detail explanation on anatomy and preparation poses
- trouble shoot and common mistakes for basic poses

Ashtanga Yoga is an energetic flow with a sequence of standing and seated poses followed by backbends and inversions.
This sequence allows students to get into a rhythm and drop into their bodies focusing on breath.
