Innovationshub Hongkong: Chancen für deutsche Start-ups

Hongkong ist nicht nur ein internationales Drehkreuz für Handel, Logistik und Finanzdienstleistungen, sondern auch einer der führenden Standorte für technische Innovation und Prototyping in Asien. Die chinesische Sonderverwaltungsregion bietet mit ihrem internationalen Geschäftsumfeld, einer hocheffizienten Infrastruktur und der unmittelbaren Anbindung an die boomende Metropolregion Greater Bay Area (GBA) ideale Voraussetzungen für innovative Unternehmen aus aller Welt.

In den vergangenen Jahren hat sich das lokale Ökosystem aus Institutionen, Inkubatoren und Investoren stetig weiterentwickelt. Rund 4.000 Startups waren 2022 in Hongkong ansässig, vor allem in den Bereichen Fintech, E-Commerce und Informationstechnologie. Auch zahlreiche deutsche Startups sind bereits vor Ort erfolgreich.

Am 12. Mai (Fr) diskutieren wir im Rahmen einer Live-Veranstaltung in Berlin gemeinsam mit Karena Belin (WHub), Till Ammelburg (German Entrepreneurship), Johannes Hack (DZ BANK AG Hong Kong Branch; GCC Hong Kong) und Dr. Wing-Hin Chung (InvestHK) über Hongkongs besondere Rolle als Sprungbrett für deutsche Startup-Unternehmen in den chinesischen und asiatischen Markt, verschiedene Finanzierungsmöglichkeiten sowie grenzüberschreitende Synergieeffekte und Wachstumschancen in der GBA.

Innovation Hub Hong Kong: Chances for German Startups

Hong Kong is not only an international hub for trade, logistics and financial services, but also one of the leading locations for technical innovation and prototyping in Asia. With its international business environment, a highly efficient infrastructure and the direct connection to the booming Greater Bay Area (GBA) of China, Hong Kong offers ideal conditions for innovative companies from all over the world.

In recent years, the local ecosystem of institutions, incubators and investors has continued to develop. Around 4,000 startups were based in Hong Kong in 2022, mostly in the fintech, e-commerce and information technology sectors. Numerous German startups are already successful on site.

On 12 May 2023 (Friday), we will discuss at a live event in Berlin together with Ms. Karena Belin (WHub), Mr. Till Ammelburg (German Entrepreneurship), Mr. Johannes Hack (DZ Bank AG Hong Kong Branch; GCC Hong Kong) and Dr. Wing-Hin Chung (InvestHK) on Hong Kong's special role as a springboard for German startups in the Chinese and Asian markets, various financing options as well as cross-border synergy effects and growth opportunities in the GBA.
