By building a mockup or product prototype, it can help you to communicate your idea to others, collect feedback from potential customers, and even find valuable partners.  But it can be hard to communicate an app’s value with static pictures.
 
In this interactive workshop, we’ll teach you how to build a dynamic, clickable app mockup, without any prior skills or knowledge. 
 
We’ll show you how to harness PowerPoint’s animations and interactive features to make your mockup as realistic as possible in a short amount of time. We’ll also show you how to look professional with some of the awesome design paradigms from Apple and Google, and how to share your mockup with the world once it’s done.  
 
Bring your laptop and follow along, or pick up a few ideas for your next product pitch.

tools to use: PowerPoint.  If you don‘t have PowerPoint , Keynote or Google Slides will work too!

The Speaker: Robby Emmert is a Software Consultant who specializes in prototyping and launching custom software platforms. He has built custom software for organizations like Haworth, Herman Miller, Intelligrated, and the University of Michigan. He has used open source technology to help companies build content management systems, product information management systems, product configurators, data reporting systems, marketing websites, and IoT dashboards. Robby is an avid supporter of open source technology, and frequently researches best practices and open source tools from industry leaders such as Facebook, Google, and Microsoft.  When Robby is not researching new technology, or attending a meetup, he’s exploring Hong Kong or eating with his family at the closest 茶餐廳 (Cantonese Restaurant).
