About this event

A new era of traditional industries: Unlocking business value by data from IoT and BIM, and further application to Artificial Intelligence

The rapid growth of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and other advanced technologies development continuously transforms traditional industries. With the gain of digital transformation, companies are seeking for a low-risk and efficient way to adopt advanced technologies for defining new business processes and business models. In a nutshell, to formulate a management strategy for integrating the entire coordination, prioritization, and implementation of digital transformations is the first step towards success of the transformation. The talk will firstly explore where AI is now, covering hot technology areas such as deep-learning, speech recognition, chat bots, robots, planning and scheduling, etc. Secondly, some successful cases on AI will be shared, and reveal how technologies transform traditional business operations. Then, an Urban Renewal Authority (URA) case will be shared for how technologies enhance preventive maintenance operations.
