Hike to Tai O Fishing Village

One of the few remaining fishing villages in Hong Kong, Tai O is known for it's stilt houses that sit right on the water! We'll hike from Tung Chung along the coastline, passing streams and waterfalls till we get to Tai O. Once there, we'll grab lunch and explore how the Tanka people have lived off the sea for generations!

There's no cost for the hike itself, but we'll have lunch together in Tai O so bring some cash for that! We will be having a late lunch, so be sure to bring some snacks for the journey! Wear comfortable shoes and clothes that you can hike in, and plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated. Oh, and don't forget to bring an umbrella in case it rains!

The trail is not difficult, but it is long. It will be about 14km in length and 250m of inclines and declines. About 80% of it is on paved trails, and 20% on an easy dirt track. It will take us about 3.5 hours to complete.
