Incense embodies the beauty and goodness of heaven, earth, and humanity. The natural world gifts us with fragrant plants, while humans craft these natural treasures into various incense products with their heartfelt intentions. These are not only used in rituals and ceremonies but have also become part of our everyday life.

At the Pulima Handmade Incense Workshop, participants will not only learn the basics of incense-making techniques but also discover the rich cultural heritage and folklore behind incense traditions. The workshop offers a sensory and conscious journey through time and space, exploring the art of incense from ancient to modern times. The workshop includes topics such as the anthropology of incense across cultures, an introduction to aromatic materials from around the world, and hands-on creation of handmade stick incense and cone incense.

Workshop will be conducted in Cantonese

Pulima Store

Pulima.store

'Pulima' is a Paiwan (Taiwan Indigenous People) word. Literal meaning is ‘Many Hands’ referring to 'skillful handcrafters'. It also served as a pronoun of craftsmen and artists.

Pulima.store, is an atelier and a select shop focusing on anthropology, ethnology, archeology and indigenous art. We hope to share our world view and aesthetics through the products we create and gather.
