Event description

Description

Ever wondered how glass is made? Discover the wonder material that propelled science and technology with the creation of telescopes, microscopes, test tubes and microchips. Glass goes largely unnoticed in our every day lives and is often discarded without a second thought. In Hong Kong, we discard hundreds of tonnes every day! In this course, we will discover how glass is made from simple raw materials. With a focus on recycling and upcycling, students will experience how glass can be melted and shaped when hot or cut, polished and engraved cold. Participants will craft their own unique recycled glass artworks by applying their new found skills and knowledge
