Station for Open Culturesis a spin-off of the bookstore The Coming Society that opened in 2011 whose aim is to bring together people and perspectives to imagine the world differently.  The founder Holok Chen focuses on land justice, gender and now a new aim of building a sustainable tech community in Hong Kong.

g0vhk.io 黑客松目的為透明開放源碼項目開發，由政治數據例如立法會議員數據 (<A HREF="https://goo.gl/DoXsmk" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://goo.gl/DoXsmk</A>) 到醫院急症室輪候時間數據 (<A HREF="https://goo.gl/ND4gwd" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://goo.gl/ND4gwd</A>)，都是與市民息息相關的資訊，公民黑客利用技術或非技術方法令不同範疇的政府及公眾機構的數據透明化，擴大公民的知情權。透過是次黑客松提高大眾對開放數據的關注，促進開源碼開發者和熱心關注社會的市民之間的交流從而壯大公民社會。

<LI>甚麼是Hackathon ? </LI>

<LI>Hackathon一詞由Hack加上Marathon組成⋯旨在於一段時間內持續一起完成程式設計等等工作。發展至今天，hackathon已不局限於IT業界人士參與，它能連結起不同議題、更多地加入不同領域的專才，共同運用科技開發專案，為各式各樣的議題開闢嶄新路向。</LI>

Hackathon的運作模式是參加者於一段短時間內，可以是一天內完成或是數天通宵進行，主辦單位會為參加者提供場地，參加者帶同手提電腦到達會場，並挑選自己感興趣的議題自由組隊，在會場內交流及分享意念、利用各種科技資源創作出全新的計劃、專案以至產品，並需在活動最後的匯報時間向其他參加者介紹自己的成果。
 
Hackathon是一種鼓勵參加者通過緊密互動、合作達致創新的過程，理念是希望建立一個能讓技術及意見得到自由交流的平台。在限時之內創作及發佈的框架底下，參加者能夠在特殊的合作模式中盡可能激發自己的解難能力，在討論與碰撞之間併發出意念的火花。而在互動過程中，參加者能以完全自主的形式，按自己與合作伙伴所制訂的意向去開發專案，同時間，在會場內各人能自由的與隊伍以外，或是不同議題的參加者互相分享，這一種跨議題、跨專業的交流活動能促使專案或是策略本身更容易打破固有既定的框架發展，從而探索無限的新可能性，所以hackathon對於很多程式設計者及各界別的專業人士來說有其獨特的吸引力。
 
在世界各地，一些跨國企業如Yahoo、Microsoft、Facebook以及知名學府如MIT及Princeton University都曾舉辦hackathon活動，而台北市政府甚至曾開放市政府大樓讓民眾參與hackathon，可見這種共工模式在世界各地的發展已被廣為採納而且漸趨成熟。
 
g0vhk.io即將在開放文化站 Station for Open Cultures舉辦Hackathon活動，在各種社會議題上與大家共同探索新路向，不論你是學生、專業人士或一般市民，都歡迎參與。不一定是科技人，可以是善於文字編編、圖像設計都可以出一分力！

<LI>甚麼叫掘井﹖ </LI>
</UL>
 
坑 (Wells) ︰族人透過開井以回餽萬物，即地球語的項目（projects)；
坑主（Well Owner)︰即召集項目的人 (project owner)；
掘坑 (Digging Wells) ︰即召集一個新項目的動作；
填坑 (Filling the Wells) ︰珍珠人會把珍珠填入井中，為萬物注入能量，使其生生不息地循環。而在群眾協作活動中貢獻才能及資源，不論是活動現場或遙距，皆稱作填坑；
 
在構想一個解決方法時，你可以先想想你要幫助的人是誰
 
You might start by focusing on a particular stakeholder group. For example, you might consider how a member of the general public could articulate his or her problems and what are their available means. From the professional’s perspective, you might consider how administrative and operational issues could be addressed. You might be helping non-profits or community organisations that connect the general public with free services.
