關於創意工作坊 - 聖誕節版時尚麻雀上色工作坊

由「Karen Aruba Art」主辦。​以聖誕節1225為主題的時尚麻雀上色工作坊，將時尚設計融入工藝，為傳統麻雀帶來藝術價值。參加者除了欣賞經驗資深的手雕麻雀師傅技藝、了解昔日的香港「麻雀」小故事以外，並由藝術家示範如何為麻雀牌上色及鏟色，並體驗「鑽」出筒子麻雀的樂趣。此工作坊曾獲媒體Localiiz介紹，喻為香港最有創意的工作坊之一 ，最後製成獨一無二的節慶小禮物，趣味十足!

所有收益扣除成本後全部撥歸領賢慈善基金作慈善用途，支持各種惠及社區、藝術及教育的慈善活動，以及香港展能藝術會協助殘疾人士參與藝術活動，透過藝術建立共融的社會。

​關於Karen Aruba Art

全港首個以「麻雀獻藝」為概念的Karen Aruba Studio去年進駐賽馬會創意藝術中心JCCAC。兩位工匠及插畫師父女合作，致力以不同形式的創作推動麻雀製造的「非遺」文化保育項目，將香港的麻雀設計融入生活，父女攜手合作以創意藝術傳承麻雀工藝，延續香港文化，發掘「手雕麻雀」技藝的更多可能性。

About Creative Workshop - ​ X'mas Edition Creative Mahjong Coloring Workshop

The special design of 'Christmas Themed Creative Mahjong Coloring Workshop' is a unique art journey to learn Hong Kong mahjong craftsmanship and story via illustrations. It will allow you to paint the Merry Christmas mahjong tiles plus traditional hand-carved circles ‘1225’.

Using beautiful metallic color to create an unforgettable Christmas gift yourself while enjoying the fun of drilling mahjong! Our workshop is featured by media Localiiz as one of the most creative workshops in Hong Kong.

*Child under 12 has to be accompanied by an adult and will be waived of participation fee.

This is a meaningful event. All profits will go towards benefitting FIF’s charitable outreach for the community, arts and education, and Arts with the Disabled Association Hong Kong to ​support the development of arts among people with disabilities and advocate for an inclusive society through the arts.

​About Karen Aruba Art

Karen Aruba Studio is a collaboration between Mahjong Craftsman Master Ricky Cheung and Illustrator Karen Aruba to revive the old tradition of hand-carving mahjong tiles with a modern twist. The setup of studio at JCCAC under the theme ‘The Art of Mahjong Craft’ is the latest effort of a father-daughter duo to keep Hong Kong culture and family ties alive through creative art with mahjong features and preserve its value in intangible cultural heritage.
