About this event

An impactful and powerful play that explores the lengths we will go to for those we love.

A young boy begins compiling a list of life’s simplest joys, hoping to bring light to his mother’s darkest moments. As he grows, this heartfelt and interactive solo performance transforms into a joyful celebration of connection, resilience, and the little things that make life truly extraordinary.

Expect an intimate, interactive night that celebrates the little things that make life worth living. Hilarious and gut‑wrenching in equal measure, this one-man experience explores mental health with warmth, honesty, and joy—leaving you connected, uplifted, and part of the conversation.

Director Lymari Alberts and Actor Jan Brink first brought Every Brilliant Thing to various venues in Hong Kong in 2024. After an overwhelmingly successful run and due to popular demand, the duo are bringing back this masterpiece of contemporary theatre.

This year, there will be three performances at The Fringe Club. Seating is limited, so book your tickets in advance!

Review extract by Madeleine Volschenk:

Lymari Alberts and Jan Brink have put together an amazing theatre experience that leaves the audience with a sense of wellbeing.
“Nine-hundred and ninety-nine!” “Sunlight.”
It left me with a desire to make my own list of brilliant things.

Audience reaction:

This is certainly a show not to be missed. Imagine attending a captivating one-man show that leaces tou spellbound and thoroughly engaged from start to finish. The true magic lies in the interactive nature of the show. Each audience member becomes an intergral part of the show, their laughter, gasps of amazement, and heartfell reactions fueling the performer's energy. The atmosphere is electric, and strangers become friends, united in their shared experience of laughter, awe, and a profound sense of human connection. Long after the final applause dies down, the memory of this extraordinary one-man show lingers, serving as a testament to the transformative power of live performance and the indelible impact of a truly engaging artist.
