This session will equip educators with evidence-based strategies to enhance student learning and confidence through effective error correction and feedback.
Participants will:
- Understand the Types of Errors: Explore different types of language errors, including grammatical, lexical, and phonological, and learn how to identify them in student work.
- Discover Correction Techniques: Examine a variety of correction methods, such as self-correction, peer correction, and teacher-led correction, and understand when to apply each method for maximum impact.
- Implement Feedback Strategies: Learn how to provide feedback that is specific, actionable, and supportive, helping students to understand their mistakes and improve their language skills.
- Balance Correction and Encouragement: Develop skills to maintain a positive and encouraging classroom environment while addressing errors, ensuring that students remain motivated and engaged.
