【DX設計館 | Urban Yarns】竹編杯墊工作坊

香港的建築物林立，設計各具特色。無論是窗戶的形狀、排列、材質，還是顏色，這些元素都在大廈的外觀中展現出不同的比例、間隔、幾何形狀、線條與外牆的反光和倒影。這些獨特的設計元素可以啟發我們在竹編藝術中的創作。

在竹編的過程中，我們遵循著一套獨特的邏輯和排列方式。透過重複性的編織技術，只需設定基本的規則，然後依據個人的創意系統進行編織。隨著隨性變化的融入，最終我們將創作出反映建築特色的產品，例如竹編杯墊或竹編扇。

這個工作坊不僅是技術的學習，更是設計思維的拓展。我們將探索如何從周遭的建築靈感中汲取創意，並將其轉化為具有功能性和藝術性的竹編作品。參加者將能在創作過程中體驗到竹材的柔韌性，並學會如何將這些建築元素融入到自己的設計中，創造出獨一無二的設計品。

關於戴倩兒導師

戴倩兒 畢業於香港理工大學設計學（榮譽）文學士— 視覺傳達 Visual Communication，及香港中文大學文化管理碩士。2020年參加由嶺南大學及香港藝術學院合辦的賽馬會「傳‧創」非遺教育計劃，並跟隨90多歲的蒸籠師傅呂明先生學習蒸籠製作。自此，她專注於鑽研竹編藝術，並創立品牌「井井有條WELL WELL WELL」。

【DX design hub | Urban Yarn】Bamboo Weaving Coaster Workshop

Hong Kong is filled with towering buildings, each with its own unique design. Whether it’s the shape, arrangement, materials, or colors of the windows, these elements showcase various proportions, spacing, geometric shapes, lines, and reflections on the building's facade. These distinctive design elements can inspire our creativity in bamboo weaving.In the bamboo weaving process, we follow a unique logic and arrangement.

Through repetitive weaving techniques, we set basic rules and then weave according to our personal creative systems. As we integrate spontaneous variations, we ultimately create products that reflect the architectural features, such as bamboo coasters or bamboo fans.

This workshop is not only about learning techniques but also about expanding design thinking. We will explore how to draw inspiration from the surrounding architecture and transform it into functional and artistic bamboo creations. Participants will experience the flexibility of bamboo during the creative process and learn how to incorporate these architectural elements into their designs, creating unique pieces.

About the Instructor

Cindy Tai (the founder of WELL WELL WELL), graduated from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Design, majoring in Visual Communication, and graduated from Master of Arts degree in Cultural Management from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
In 2020, she participated in the Jockey Club "ICH+" Program organised by Lingnan University and the Hong Kong Art School, where she learned bamboo steamer crafting from Master Lui Ming, who is over 90 years old. Since then, she has focused on the art of bamboo weaving and established her brand "WELL WELL WELL."

若八號熱帶氣旋警告信號於當天下午2時前除下，本館將會在3小時內重新開放；如警告於下午2時或其後除下，本館當日將維持關閉。

The Lounge will resume service within three hours if the signal is cancelled before 2pm; if the signal is cancelled at or after 2pm , the Lounge will remain closed for the day.

黑色暴雨警告 Black rainstorm warning:

若本館經已開放，則開放時間維持不變。若黑色暴雨警告在本館開放前經已生效，本館將不會開放，直至黑色暴雨警告除下。倘若除下時距離本館閉館時間不足兩小時，當日將不會開放。

If the warning is issued during normal opening hours, The Lounge will remain open.

If the warning is issued before The Lounge opens, The Lounge will be closed until the warning is cancelled. If the warning is cancelled less than 2 hours before normal closing hours, The Lounge will remain closed that day.
