Tatler and The Upper House invite you to join a panel discussion on digital fashion and what it means for brands and the luxury consumer. As luxury brands start moving into the metaverse to make their mark, what does this mean for the fashion industry? What exactly is digital fashion and what does this mean for both the brand and the luxury consumer?

Queenie Mak is an avant-garde marketer with a global perspective and acute understanding of the local market. She has over 20 years of experience in luxury marketing & communications for the world’s biggest brands including Givenchy, Gucci and Louis Vuitton and is a trusted advisor to her clients. She believes in bringing people together in both the physical and digital world to create a truly immersive client experience.

Richard Hobbs

Founder & CEO, Brand New Vision

Richard Hobbs is the founder and CEO of Brand New Vision (BNV). With decades of experience in the global fashion industry working across all aspects of brand ownership and development, design and product development, sourcing and production, distribution, retail and licensing he founded BNV in 2016 as a fashion R&D company to explore the use of technology in the traditional fashion product cycle. In 2019 the business transitioned to become focused on 3D virtual products secured on the ethereum blockchain. BNV.ME has now become the gateway for brands and designers to enter the metaverse. Richard also co-founded The HUB, the first international fashion trade event in Greater China and maintains interests in traditional fashion retail and distribution.

Angus Tsui

Creative Director & Founder, ANGUS TSUI

With environmental sustainability at the core, Angus Tsui designs are known for their futuristic, avant-garde and otherworldly silhouettes. Founded in 2014, the label is named the Top 100 Designers globally at the JOOR x NJAL 100 Project and received a Bronze Award at the 2017 DFA Design for Asia Awards. Through collaborations with leading Hong Kong brands and Angus Tsui’s educational charity project ANCares, which coordinates workshops, seminars and exhibitions on the topic of sustainability, the label has secured its standing as a pioneer for sustainable fashion.

Nick Lau

Founder, Wear

Nick Lau is a 23-year-old digital luxury entrepreneur and founder of Wear. Wear is a next-gen luxury Web3 platform that bridges physical and digital experiences. The platform allows luxury brands and creatives to launch exclusive phygital products and experiences to create new storytelling channels, activations, consumer engagements and revenue streams. Wear collaborates with next-gen artists, designers, musicians, and luxury brands to create and curate the metaverse-compatible digital assets.

Editorial Director & Editor-in-Chief, Tatler Hong Kong

Jacqueline Tsang is an award-winning editor with over a decade of experience working in the luxury and media industry. Prior to joining Tatler, Tsang was the chief editor of SCMP Style and content director of specialist publications at SCMP. She is a seasoned media and communications professional and offers an extraordinary breadth of industry know-how across luxury, fashion, watch, jewellery, F&B, beauty, hospitality and travel.

About House Stories

A partnership between Tatler and The Upper House, House Stories is a panel series first launched in 2021 that explores contemporary culture in Hong Kong and features conversations and interviews with experts and leaders sharing life lessons, anecdotes, and key information at informal monthly gatherings.
