About this event

Arts • Fine Art

This workshop teaches the basic skills of creating picture book stories and transforming text into story illustrations, using art as a powerful outlet of emotions. The well-acclaimed local artist Nalok.Lok will share his works on mental health, and discuss how he expresses trauma through the art of illustration.

After completion, participants will find it easier to come up with interesting stories and skillfully express their inner thoughts and life experiences through illustration, trying to convey their feelings without words, thereby finding a way out for emotions.

Speaker Bio: Nalok.Lok (奈樂樂)is a committee member of The Hong Kong Society of Illustrators. He has launched a series of picture books exploring not only the vulnerable side of human nature but also showing the dark side of reality. Nalok.Lok is highly recognised and has won the "Illustrator Of The Year" award from the Japan Illustrators' Association twice.
