Day 1 – Foundations of Conflict Competency

  • Introduction to the principles of conflict competency
  • Bodies & brains in conflict – what happens physiologically and psychologically when we experience conflict and how does this impact our responses
  • What sits below – exploring the underlying drivers of conflict beyond surface
  • Knowing your habits and style in conflict, including strengths and growth areas

Day 2 – Tools, Frameworks and Practice

  • Introduction to a clear framework for reviewing and approaching conflict scenarios
  • Tools and skills for building connection and reducing defensiveness in conversations
  • The Decision Mapping Tool – supporting clarity in communication and next steps
  • Guided practice with real-life school-based scenarios
  • Developing your personalised plan to strengthen conflict competency and apply insights in your own school context
