From initial concept through to operation of the building, the trainer will provide an overview of the whole development and construction process. During the course delegates will gain an understanding of how to develop a construction or development project and project manage through the design, construction and operational phases. The course is designed to be interactive and will involve discussions about real life projects.

The course is designed to provide an introduction to the construction and development process and to give delegates a foundation in project management and development skills.

The day is structured to provide participants with a good understanding of the construction and development process and as the course is skill based delegates will develop project management, development management and business and professional skills. Each delegate should complete the course armed with a clear understanding of a wide range of technical issues that need to be managed during a construction project.

Case Study – Macau Sands Cotai Central






  • The venetian construction project was designed to be a 4-tower development in 2008




  • However, the client request to downsize the development to 3 towers in 2010 due to financial difficulties and visitors drop at the time




  • After completed of the three towers, the client decided to build the forth one in late 2014.




  • You are as professional Surveyor , how to advise the client on different area , especially on the Time cost & quality  and how to main of existing three towers operation mode

Dick is a Professional and Project Manager and Surveyor with over 30 years experience in the construction industry of Hong Kong. During his professional career, Dick has gained vast and varied practicing experiences in the construction field.


Currently, he is actively serving various sectors, institutes, and associations in the construction industry of Hong Kong, i.e. HKICM, HKIS, CIOB, HKIIE, HKICW, HKISA, ICWCI.

  • The organiser reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the training at its discretion.
  • No refund or cancellation will be accepted, but a substitute delegate is normally permitted. Please inform the organiser of your substitute delegate at least 5 days before the training.
  • If a typhoon signal no. 8 or above, or black rainstorm warning is in force at least 3 hours before the programme is scheduled to begin, the training will be postponed until further notice. Otherwise, it will continue as scheduled.
  • Registration will only be confirmed upon receipt of completed registration form and full payment.
  • Upon completion of this event, a CPD certificate will be granted. A payment receipt along with the CPD certificate will be sent to you by email with 10 business days after the training.
