About this Event

We have often heard of the terms ‘Core Strength’ and ‘Core Conditioning’ in fitness programs but aside from the association of achieving abs by doing reps of situps and pushups, the breath and depth of what core focus is, has often been neglected.

At Fivelements Habitat our approach to ‘Core’ is one of our six main categories, and our classes are filled with supportive knowledge and provide insights on how this area of our body is an incredible support system.

Our movement stems from our center, and our core acts like a sturdy central link in a chain connecting your upper and lower body influences. In our second series of a panel discussion hosted by the co-Founder of WELL Magazine Asia, Sarah Keates, we will discuss and ‘demystify’ some of the commonly overlooked conceptions, unpack the benefits, educate on the approaches, as well as, learn some simple at-home daily movements by trained facilitators.

在健身的世界裡,我們經常聽到「核心力量」和「核心肌群訓練」等字眼。但其實「核心」除了是普遍大眾所認知的腹肌,以及大家容易立即聯想到的仰臥起坐和俯臥撑訓練,核心與呼吸的密切關係是很多人也會忽略卻十分重要的一環。
