Description

Is Education a game changer for Social Mobility?

Children are our hope, and guiding them towards fulfilling lives is important to every community. Cities can be wildly unequal places, and a healthy community must focus on keeping alive the prospect of equal opportunities to realise their potential.

The emphasis of this inaugural session is:

  • Understanding the educational attainment lag among children and youth from vulnerable families in Singapore

  • Learning from experts about the stressors and challenges experienced by these children and youth that inhibits their learning and thus attainment at school.

  • Sharing by knowledgeable peers on possible strategies and social interventions that enable positive outcomes.
