Description
Why does every startup need a mission statement?
Whether your business is creating apps or educating migrant workers an effective mission statement will set concrete action goals that will guide you and your employees. Everyone in your organization will be able to use the mission statement to say this is my contribution. A mission statement describes the long term impact you want to make in your industry. Your task as leader is to convert the organization’s mission into specific, measurable steps. A mission statement lays the foundation for your business’s objectives and measurements.
Former Assistant Dean of the University of Michigan Law School and CEO of Justice Labs in Hong Kong, Robert Precht has advised scores of startups in the U.S. and China. In his free workshop he will share his 8 secrets for crafting effective mission statements by analyzing examples from Apple, Sears, and community organizations. Part of the workshop will be interactive where participants will draft their own mission statements. At the conclusion of the workshop all participants will have the tools to write effective mission statements that will lay the foundation for successful businesses.
