Tatler and The Upper House invite you to join a panel discussion on Asia's specific challenges and opportunities when it comes to climate change. A meteorologist, a climate activist and entrepreneur, and a leading landscape photographer gather to discuss what's at stake—and whether the future holds any hope at all.

Sandy Song
Assistant director of the Development, Research and Administration Branch, Hong Kong Observatory
Since Sandy Song joined the Hong Kong Observatory in 1991, she has worked in forecast operations and at the airport's meteorological office, and has headed the organisation's corporate communications. Now, as assistant director of the HKO, Song oversees development, research and administration, and focuses on developing climate services, climate change studies, tropical cyclone studies, public communication and education. Her goal is to promote understanding and awareness of climate change and its issues.
Natalie Chung
Leading climate advocate and social entrepreneur
Natalie Chung is a leading climate advocate and social entrepreneur, who has been recognised by The Japan Times and Eco-Business as one of the most impactful youth climate leaders driving change in Asia. At the age of 18, she co-founded V’air Hong Kong, a social enterprise which promotes low-carbon local tourism as a means to mitigate climate change. At the policy level, Chung is committed to advancing carbon neutrality in Hong Kong and mainland China. She has been appointed to serve at the Council for Sustainable Development and Green Tech Fund Assessment Committee of the Hong Kong Government.
Chung holds an MPhil in Environmental Change and Management at University of Oxford as the Esther Yewpick Lee Millennium Scholar, and a Bachelor of Social Science in Geography and Resource Management. She is the author of two books on hiking and tourism.
Kelvin Yuen
Hong Kong-based landscape photographer
Kelvin Yuen is a leading Hong Kong-based landscape photographer, whose work serves as a constant reminder of the beauty and fragility of the natural world. His accomplishments as a photographer earned him the title of International Landscape Photographer of The Year in 2020, as well as first place in the Taiwanese section of National Geographic's International Photo Contest in 2015. Yuen's portfolio encompasses commissions for major brands like Cathay Pacific, Coca-Cola, The North Face, DJI, and the German National Tourism Board. A selection of his photography depicting the Hong Kong UNESCO Global GeoPark is currently featured by the Hong Kong Tourism Board.

Deputy Editor, Tatler Hong Kong
Lauren James is a journalist and editor who has written extensively about environmental issues, from climate change and conservation to sustainability and waste, and has hosted several panels on green cities for NGOs, including The Nature Conservancy. Since joining Tatler Hong Kong as deputy editor in 2020, her work has spanned eco-friendly burials to the sustainable applications of blockchain technology.

A partnership between Tatler and The Upper House, House Stories is a panel series first launched in 2021 that explores contemporary culture in Hong Kong and features conversations and interviews with experts and leaders sharing life lessons, anecdotes, and key information at informal monthly gatherings.
