Cellophane Shining is a screening programme of music videos from Hong Kong artists. Rekindling the collective viewing of MV/MTV on big screens, the night features an eclectic selection of videos ranging from pop, down tempo cumbia, salsa, soft rock, synthpop and funk.
All artists have a burning heart for Hong Kong, seared through the highlands of Honduras and Mexico, the metropolis of London, and the bodegas of New York. Reigniting the feeling of falling in love, it’s as if our eyes are coated with a bright shining cellophane, seeing anew the city we find ourselves in.
As part of the pre-release screening of Balatro’s single MV Echange de Coeur, Balatro will kick start the event with a short performance before the night unfolds into the following screening programme:
