About this event
🎭 Workshop: Captivating Staging
Taught by: Matt Folliott (he/him) – Canada / USA
Level: Intermediate/Advanced
Date & Time: Sunday, May 24 · 14:30–17:30
Location: Fringe Club, Central, Hong Kong
Purposeful, unique staging is how great improvisers turn scenes into moments the audience will never forget. The stage (or any space we perform in) is your playground — it can make a story funnier, more emotional, and more powerful.
In this workshop, Matt Folliott will guide you through creative approaches to physical staging, movement, and space awareness. You’ll experiment with different ways to position yourself and your scene partners, transforming even the simplest ideas into visually dynamic, emotionally resonant performances.
Through play and experimentation, you’ll learn to use every inch of the stage to tell stories that pop — whether you’re performing shortform, longform, or something in between. Let’s keep your work fresh, bold, and captivating.
