<p>Since 2020, we have learnt to be mindful of the things we touch throughout the day… currency notes, our phones, elevator buttons. In July of the same year, Dr. Quentin J. Lee, an Alabama principal, sang a rap song about Covid to MC Hammer's classic hit of <em>U Can't Touch This</em>. The parody went viral overnight.</p><p></p><p>The upcoming exhibition at WMA, 'Can’t touch this!'  is facilitated by visual artist Angela Su. It was conceived as an extension to ‘Faces  under Masks’, a book project initiated by journalist-turned urbanist Chloe Lai. The project consists of interviews with 10  Hongkongers that document divergent experiences of the pandemic, with photo documentations by field research photographer Tse Pak Chai. Three visual artists, Siu Wai Hang, Yim Sui Fong and Kenji Wong Wai Kin were invited to create visual responses to the project.</p><p></p><p>‘Can’t touch this!’ will be held on the occasion of the release of Chloe Lai’s book.</p><p></p><p>疫情底下無新事？鑊鑊新鮮鑊鑊甘！ WMA 最新展覽「鑊鑊新鮮鑊鑊甘」，由視覺藝術家徐世琪發起，旨在延續城市研究者黎穎詩的「 1.5米」訪談計劃。該計劃透過訪問十位香港人在疫情中的經歷，並聯同攝影師謝柏齊的影像紀錄，編輯成書《 1.5 米》。是次展覽邀請了三位視覺藝術家蕭偉恒、嚴瑞芳和王偉健，觀察當下的種種新常態，各自透過不同的視覺語境回應訪談計劃。</p><p></p><p>展覽「鑊鑊新鮮鑊鑊甘」將會在黎穎詩的新書《 1.5 米》出版時同期舉行。</p><p>________________________________________________________________________________________________</p>

<p><strong>About the artists</strong></p><ul><li>Siu Wai Hang graduated from the School of Creative Media of City University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Creative Media in 2010. He obtained his Master of Fine Art from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2013. Siu was  awarded the WMA Masters Award in 2014 and 2016, and Hong Kong Human Rights Art Prize of 2018. Siu participated in Jimei X Arles International Photo Festival and Pingyao International Photography Festival in 2017. His work is collected by the Legislative Council of Hong Kong and is exhibited in China, Taiwan and the USA. Siu currently lives and works in HongKong.</li></ul><p></p><ul><li>Yim Sui Fong graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong with a Master of Fine Arts (MFA). She is the co-founder of the artist-run organisation Rooftop Institute and member of Hong Kong artist collective, L sub. Yim was awarded the WMA Masters Award in 2018. Recent exhibition and projects includes: ‘Landskrona Foto Festival’ (2020, Sweden) , Solo show ‘A Room of Resistance’ (2019, JCCAC, Hong Kong), ‘Artists’ Film International’（2018, Whitechapel Gallery, UK and Bonniers Konsthall, Sweden), ‘The man who attends to the times’, project commissioned by Oi!, Hong Kong (2018). Yim currently lives  and works in Hong Kong.</li></ul><p></p><ul><li>Kenji Wong Wai Kin graduated with a Master’s of Cultural Studies from Lingnan University and a Bachelor of Arts from the School of Creative Media of the City University of Hong Kong. Wong has worked for the Hong Kong online media platform Stand News. He was named finalists for the WMA Open Photo Contest in 2019 and the Human Rights Art Prize 2020. His works have been exhibited in New York, Taipei and Hong Kong. Wong currently lives and works in Hong Kong.</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>關於藝術家</strong></p><ul><li>蕭偉恒 於2010畢業於香港城市大學創意媒體學院，並於2013年獲取香港中文大學藝術碩士學位。他於2014及2016年獲得WMA大師攝影獎及在2018年取得香港人權藝術獎。他在2017年曾參展集美．阿爾勒國際攝影季及平遙國際攝影大展。作品為香港立法會收藏，亦曾於台灣、中國及美國展出。現於香港居住及工作。</li></ul><p></p><ul><li>嚴瑞芳於香港中文大學獲取藝術碩士學位。她是藝術家營運的非牟利機構「天台塾」聯合創辦人，以及藝術組織 L sub 的成員。她於2018年獲得WMA大師攝影獎。主要參與的項目及展覽包括：Landskrona Foto Festival (2020，瑞典蘭斯克魯納)、個展「一介之逆」（2019，香港JCCAC)、國際藝術家電影(AFI) 系列放映 (2018，倫敦白教堂美術館，英國)、油街實現委約作品《看管時間的人》(2018)。現於香港居住及工作。</li></ul><p></p><ul><li>王偉健 畢業於香港城市大學創意媒體學院，並於香港嶺南大學獲得文化研究碩士學位。他現於媒體平台《立場新聞》工作。曾入圍WMA Open攝影比賽2019及香港人權藝術獎2020。作品曾於紐約、台北及香港展出。現於香港居住及工作。</li></ul><p></p><p>________________________________________________________________________________________________</p>

<h3><strong>Rules for Visitors</strong></h3><ol><li>All visitors must follow admission rules and guidelines of the organizer, venue staff and building owner.</li><li>WMA Space is a private venue for <a href="https://wma.hk/wma-membership/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">WMA Members</a> only.</li><li>For the purpose of effective crowd management and public health, the organizer has set up a ticketing system. WMA Members should make an appointment before visiting the exhibition or entering the venue.</li><li>Each appointment registration can only be used by one person once. Please select the admission date and time, and provide your name and email address for registration.</li><li>Personal data collected herein will be used for membership registration purposes. Please refer to <a href="https://wma.hk/wma-membership/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">WMA Membership details</a> and <a href="https://wma.hk/privacy-policy-2/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">WMA’s Personal Data Collection Statement</a>.</li><li>The appointment time slot is in units of 60 minutes.
