Napa Cabernet started to be on winelovers' radar and kept the Bordeaux king on his toes, thanks to the Paris Judgement in 1976 organized by the great Steven Spurrier. Without a doubt, nowadays it's still the frontrunner in the country, yet the neighboring Sonoma and the Washington State in the further North are catching up. To date, their quality is continuously getting better and this reflects on the higher ratings given by critics in recent years.
This masterclass will feature top US Cabernets from these 3 key regions. From Napa, one of the participants of the 1976 Paris Judgement, Clos du Val, as well as the cult wine classic Harlan Estate and the new rising Realm Cellars are included in the linup. Then moving to the North, we will have the 100-point 'La Joie' crafted by Verite, which has been widely recognized as the finest producer in Sonoma County. Last but not least, Force Majeure, a boutique winery from Walla Walla Valley, will also be joining and offering us its terroir-driven Cabernet that is utterly delicious, and very difficult to acquire.
