Los Sotano is a New Mexican underground Restaurant and Bar set in a hidden basement in the heart of Lan Kwai Fong.The Mexican inspired interior shows an underground sexy sophistication with hanging decanter lights and beautiful traditional Mexican tiles on sides of the bar. Skulls in the shapes of the Los Sotano logo cover the left wall and a textured rope covers the opposite, transforming the bar into chic bodega.A neon sign displaying the words “Tequila makes my clothes come off” sits on top of a mural specially created by popular Miami graffiti artist “Le Creep”. Le Creep was commissioned by the Los Sotano founders to cover the walls of the new concept with Mexican inspired murals and to fill the stairwell with stunning graffiti, in cooperation with Richard Montenegro (I Am Orgie Art), and international artists Ruben (Ubiera) and Golden (Golden305).Tequila is without a doubt the speciality liquor of Los Sotano. The bar will be lead by leading LA bartender, Robert Kariakin from the famous West Hollywood’s “The Abbey” and one of the hottest Mexican Clubs “Toca Modera”. Robert has whipped up an innovative drinks menu to bring more spice into our evenings out on the town, which includes cocktails like the Bad Hombre (Reposado Tequila, Cynar, Pineapple, Pimientos topped with beer), La Negra (Añejo tequila, Campari, Sweet vermouth and orange liquor), and Cinco De Mayo (Añejo tequila, Cognac and Benedictine).The bar also holds one of a kind Tequila’s such as Caso Dragones and Clase Azul Ultra Anejo priced at HKD3,000 a shot, or Patron x Guillermo Del Toro, designed by the famous Mexican movie director.To accompany your cocktails, we offer a delicious selection of Mexican food by Abel Ortiz A.
