Event Overview

All Conditions of Contract commonly use in Hong Kong contain similar contract clause in relation to “Practical/Substantial Completion” (“PC/SC”). What are the key elements for PC/SC? Can we draw a simple and precise definition for PC/SC?

In this CPD, Ludwig will share with us some related court cases on PC/SC, and attempt in defining the PC/SC for the construction works in Hong Kong in relation to those court cases.

Further, he will discuss the contractual implications when the works has reached the stage of PC/SC, both on the Employer side and Contractor side.

On completion of this CPD, attendees may draw a clear and precise definition for PC/SC, for all their coming projects, so that they may provide professional and precise advice to their superiors/clients.

Additionally, the audience may aware of the contractual implications for a project reaching PC/SC, so that they may correctly advising their respective bosses or clients respectively in the future.
