Founded in 1921, the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (UCSC), or Cattolica, is the largest private university in Europe. The university has been granted five stars by QS Stars, a global university rating system. Cattolica's Milan campus hosts over 41,000 students per year and is located in a beautiful 8th-century monastery, renovated by Bramante in the 1600s. The school is an integral part of the local community of Milan, attracting students from within Italy as well as from around the world.
Cattolica distinguishes itself for its multidisciplinary curriculum, industrial ties, and strong international focus. Aside from 200+ Italian programs, Catollica offer undergraduate, graduate programs in English, with a focus on economics, medicine & surgery, business, management, international relations and marketing. As an international student, you are allowed to work up to 1,040 hours per year. Provided you are graduating at Master’s level or above, you’ll be able to remain in Italy for up to 12 months to look for a job. For Bachelor degree, you’ll need to switch your student permit for an Italian work permit, provided you can find an employer that will sponsor you.
