Gong Bath Meditation with Cheryl Rodriguez

About this event

Ease into the present moment. Cheryl will guide participants through a 45-minute gong bath meditation that will help calm the mind and soothe the senses for feel-good summer vibes. The session begins with a short breath technique before a journey to a deep meditative state – all while listening to the gentle, wave-like tones created by the gongs. By tuning in during this session, the sounds of the instruments will help make it easier to leg go and fall in to that deep, sweet space between relaxation and sleep

About the trainer

During a business trip to London, Cheryl joined a gong meditation after a yoga class. She was immediately hooked after feeling a deep sense of relaxation simply from listening to the soothing sounds. Thereafter she attended sessions in Hong Kong to balance a high-pressure corporate life.

After an unexpected surgery, Cheryl went to a sound meditation to gain some peace and relaxation from the pain she was experiencing. She gained that and also directly felt the deeper healing effects of vibrational sound. From that point she felt a calling to share with others how sound baths can be an easy and powerful form of meditation to bring about balance. She has since studied with teachers from all around the world. Cheryl's sessions have a mindful, nurturing and compassionate approach.

Embracing a love of nature and stillness, Cheryl aims to create and share this feeling through sound, water, breath and movement offerings.

Cheryl currently provides gong sessions at the Four Seasons Spa, hosts yoga+sound weekend retreats, and also gives back by providing regular community sessions. She has collaborated with Amazon Fashion (Tokyo), Sweaty Betty and recently OTO CBD for Lane Crawford. Cheryl was also recognized as one of Liv Magazine’s 2021 Women of Wellness.
