About this event

Be The Change - cultivate kindness one breath at a time

This 75-minute Yin Yang yoga class is designed to help you find your balance and keep you centered amidst the challenges you may be facing. Annie, Doris and Holly will lead you through a brief meditation, an active and dynamic Yang Yoga practice followed by a restorative and calming Yin Yoga practice. This class is open to people with all experience levels - beginners included!

Mind Hong Kong is a registered charity committed to improving awareness and understanding of mental health in Hong Kong. They provide resources to support anyone experiencing a mental health problem. Through public campaign, resources, and events, Mind HK seeks to improve awareness and understanding of mental health, while breaking the stigma around it. All proceeds from this class will be donated to Mind HK.

Thanks to our generous venue sponsor, the class will take place at The Wild Lot, a beautiful space for events located in Sheung Wan.

Organizer of Be The Change: Charity Yin Yang Yoga and Meditation

Be The Change - Cultivating Kindness One Breath at a Time

Be The Change was founded by three experienced yoga teachers in Hong Kong - Annie, Doris and Holly - whose mission is to support charities in need and to build a kind, giving community through the offering of charity yoga classes. We became more active this earlier this year when the global Covid-19 situation drastically impacted funding for charities, and we started offering #namastayathome virtual charity classes to raise funds for those in need. To date, we have raised over $15,000 for charities such as Habitat for Humanity, ImpactHK, Mother’s Choice and Women Helping Women.

Our events have been attended by over 100 people since April, and have been covered by media channels such as Timeout, Sassy Mama, Timeout, Localiiz and The Loop. We have also engaged with local businesses who align with our vision to provide sponsored gifts for our participants.
