義大利北部皮蒙的阿爾巴(Alba),可以說是美食,好酒,名人的匯萃之地.面對環繞四周的眾多競爭者,在這裡想寫下百年歷史,非得要有過人的企圖心與實力.Pio Cesare(凱薩酒莊)在此立基已超過一世紀,好酒横跨Barbaresco與Barolo兩大名區,知名度極高,屢屢入選Wine Spectator年度百大的前十名。

至於Pio Cesare的Barolo,單一葡萄園就數Ornato最為人稱道.(凱薩單一葡萄園巴洛洛) 此園位於知名的Serralunga D'Alba南端,有著陽光最充足的南向坡,葡萄園約5公頃餘,釀出的酒香氣集中,結構更代表著Serralunga最典型的Barol0,擁有超級的陳年實力.Pio Cesare在此採收的葡萄,大部份均混入經典款的Barolo僅有極少部分掛上Ornato之名,也是此園代表性的作品,量少,並非每年生產.
