About this event

This workshop provides practical, step-by-step instructions and progressive routines and drills to get you into poses safely and effectively with a deeper understanding of alignment and techniques.

We will begin by focusing on the essential foundations of arm balances, including strength and flexibility in the wrists and hamstrings, weight distribution and pelvic movement. We will continue to build strength in your arms, shoulders, chest and core.

About Adriana:

Adriana’s yoga journey started 6 years ago when having on and off back problems from three pregnancies. Yoga helped ease her back pain and she fell in love with yoga since then. Continuing her love and passion in yoga, she took a 200hrs Yoga Teacher Training course with Master Yogananth Andiappan at Anahata in July 2017, and started teaching private, group, and community classes right after. In end of 2017, she also completed AntiGravity® Fundamental 1&2 and Aerial Yoga 1&2 courses with Tamer Begum. In late 2018 she took 300hrs Advanced Teacher Training with Master Samrat Dasgupta.

She loves sharing yoga with others, and believes that yoga is NOT about being able to do advanced asanas/poses, but it is all about getting on your mat, connecting with your breathing and finding that stillness in your mind.

The Yoga Room is a boutique yoga studio in the heart of Sheung Wan with four studios (3/F, 4/F,6/F and 16/F) and our office on the 15/F. Convenient to such locations as Central, Soho, IFC and Shun Tak. The Yoga Room is a sanctuary amidst the chaos below with its spacious and bright feel.

With a focus on small classes and high quality, personalized instruction, the teachers of The Yoga Room radiate with warmth and knowledge from their extensive and diverse training. All levels of practitioners are welcome – feel free to discuss with our instructors any of your special needs.

The Yoga Room offers over 100 classes per week designed for the beginner to the advanced.  The Yoga Room is proud to offer group classes in Hot Yoga, Hatha, Ashtanga, Yin Yoga, Yoga Therapy, Jivamukti,  Mindfulness Yoga, Vinyasa, Mat Pilates, Pre-natal Yoga, Prenatal Pilates, Mum & Baby Yoga, and Kids Yoga, all taught by Certified instructors. We also offer private classes at our studios or at your preferred location.
